⚡Node Decay

As you navigate your ships (nodes) across the seven seas, all the plundering and fighting against other pirates takes its toll on your vessel. Each ship has a lifetime in which they will be able to sail the seas to produce daily rewards; after which they become shipwrecked.

Once a Rowboat, Sloop or Brigantine becomes shipwrecked the node will decay into a shipwrecked node, this will still produce daily returns but at a reduced rate. Those mighty pirates sailing aboard the Galleon will be able to escape this shipwreck by seeking refuge on their vessel's Rowboat. Upon this event, the Galleon will decay into a Rowboat node.

Shipwrecked node daily rewards/%'s will be decided closer to the end of the current node's lifetimes

We want to ensure that each pirate who sets out on the seas with their ship is able to have a long and prosperous voyage ! However, no voyage is without its end.

In order to ensure the sustainability of the project far into the future and allow our pirates to have many more voyages, the following decay system will be implemented:

SHIP * days to ROT * # of voyages = nodesLifetime

Where # of voyages = 7*

Each voyage is one ROT amount. It is currently set by the protocol that each boat will produce 7 times the initial token investment.

*Number of voyages is variable to change, to ensure the longevity of the Pirate Nodes ecosystem. We will do everything possible to maintain this number with all our future sustainability endeavours & developments. However, if the projects emissions become too large and a reduction is needed, we will not have to change the effective daily rewards, rather the lifetime emissions of the node
